I bought this for an 8 year old since I saw it was rated for 8-12 year olds. The subject matter, presentation, and page layout look good and worthy of being a “National Geographic†product. However, it is written for an advanced reader. I doubt many 8 year old readers can manage to read it by themselves. I sent it along to the 8 year old for Christmas with a warning to the parents that it was more at a 12 year old level. The subject matter will interest the 8 year old, but to avoid frustration the parents will need to read it to the 8 year old child.
My young, curious, gifted son really enjoys this book. He could not get enough info about the 3D printer. Awesome read for any curious kid!
Excellent book for the child who always asks "Why?"100s of topics and questions answered. Warning some answers will prompt your child to ask more questions ;)
